Benjamin Philip Lujin
Date of Death: July 18, 2023
Ben passed away at age 49 at his home in Springfield on July 18, 2023. He was born September 5, 1973, in Corona, California. He lived in various Southern California locations, then moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, as a teenager.
He attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, eventually settling on a career in truck driving. His daughter, Zoe Mossburg, was born on November 16, 2002.
Ben drove long-haul trucks for many years, spending most of them as an owner-operator. He met his wife, Christina, in 2009, and she joined him in the truck, which became their home for the next eight years. In 2017, the two of them settled down in Springfield, Oregon, where Ben went to work for Walsh Trucking.
Hard-working and energetic, Ben put in long hours at work, but also found time for his family and various hobbies, foremost of which was working on his cars. He was always engaged in improvements and restorations and was particularly adept at solving difficult problems.
He survived and will be missed by his wife, Christina Lujin, his daughter Zoe Mossburg, his father Steve Aubin and his brother Philip Aubin, along with many friends and extended family.
A memorial service will be held in Eugene, Oregon in early to mid-September. More information will be provided soon.
