Obituary of William Ray Culver Jr.

William, or Bill as he was known to his friends, 78, passed away at home on Friday, July 21, 2023. William Ray Culver Jr. was born in Eugene, Oregon to parents William Culver and Carol Terry Culver on December 31, 1944. As a Springfield High School student, class of 63, he was a member of the football, basketball, track, and baseball teams. He also served as Class Council President, Student Body Vice President, Boys Alliance Council, and Honor Society. Likewise, William enjoyed watching sports, hunting, fishing, reading, and traveling with family.

In his thirties, he met Rosanne Sisler. They fell in love and raised their families together. Two children from his previous marriage, Natalie Culver and Gregory Culver. As well as two children from Rosanne’s previous marriage, Amy Sisler McGinnis and David Sisler Jr.. Together they also had seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Being a kind and loving father and grandfather was of the utmost importance to William. William and Rosanne were entrepreneurs and ran EZ Stop Market in Harrisburg for more than eight years.

William was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie, son Gregory, sister Terry, and parents William and Carol. He is survived by his stepmother Shirley Culver. His family will honor his memory in a celebration of life next month.
