Obituary of Thomas Walter Rozinski

Thomas Walter Rozinski, age 62, of Eugene, Oregon, died unexpectedly on July 1, 2023.  He was born on October 9, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio.

He attended Service High School in Alaska and graduated from Lenape High School in New Jersey.  He began studying Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania before attending US Army Ranger School in Fort Bennington, GA, where he received Multi-Service, Elite Combat Leadership training.  Tom was an Airborne Ranger, Infantry Sergeant E-5, 1/75, A Company United State Army.  He was a combat veteran and served in multiple areas of operation including duty on classified missions.  After relocating to Eugene Oregon, he attended Lane Community College in the Electronics Technology Program, Surveillance Camera Technology.

Tom had a varied job history including handyman and construction, Scenery Carpenter at a movie studio, Senior Investigator, Principle Investigator/Compliance Officer with the Oregon Board/Chiropractic Examiners, Maintenance Supervisor/HR & Safety Manager, and most recently Building Coordinator/Project Manager at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications.

Tom and Sharon (Sam) met at The Culver Studios in 1989 and married in California on June 18, 1991, where they resided until moving to Eugene, Oregon in 1995.

Tom was a devoted and loving husband who loved going to wineries, the coast, and listening to music with Sharon (Sam) and the dogs, playing table tennis, gardening, woodworking, restoring cars, and hiking.  He was a self-taught, gentle giant who was well-respected and will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Sam) Kimelblot of 32 years, dogs Kija and Zendaya, sister Monica Kerr and husband Fritz, brother Dan Rozinski and wife Pam, sister Andrea Trout, and nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his Mother Frances Boettger, Father Thomas Rozinski, and brother David Rozinski.  He is also preceded in death by his beloved dogs Magnum, Dakota, Jamba and Maximus.
