Marilyn Miner

Obituary of Marilyn Claire Miner

Marilyn Claire Miner (Hall) gained her angel wings on March 18, 2023, at her home in Eugene, OR.

Marilyn was born to Thomas and Margaret Hall on February 9, 1931, in Boston, MA. Marilyn was the fourth of their seven children. Marilyn met her husband, Lyle Miner, in Boston, MA, where he was stationed in the Coast Guard. They married on September 17, 1950, and went on to have four children: Linda, Cheryl, Debbie, and Lyle. The family eventually settled in Eugene, Oregon.

Those who knew Marilyn would call her an avid shopper and master deal finder; she could calculate a discount in seconds. When Marilyn wasn't shopping, she could be found traveling with her loving husband Lyle, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Marilyn is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her older sister, Phyllis Pizzi.

The family has scheduled a celebration of Marilyn’s life July 29th in Portland, Oregon.
