She was a wonderful and amazingly kind woman who touched the lives of many in her 88 years of life.
Born to Charles Michael Coffey and Katherine Cecelia Gearin on September 16, 1934, in Portland, OR, she moved with her parents and family to Santa Cruz, CA, and then Watsonville, CA.
After graduating from Moreland Notre Dame High School in Watsonville, she studied at San Jose State University. She met and married William H. Rennie in 1958 and dedicated her time to teaching second grade in Sunnyvale, CA. Faith, family, love, and laughter were pillars of strength and joy in her life.
She was devoted to her faith and was a long-standing member of the Catholic Church. She utilized her teaching skills as she volunteered her time to the churches in each city she lived. Most specifically leading CCD and RCIA religious education classes for young children as well as people new to the faith.
She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and continued to devote her time to the church as well as the Sacred Heart Hospital Guild. She loved gardening, sewing, and quilting and especially spending time with her sisters at the Sisters Quilt show each summer for lots of good laughs and family stories.
She remained supportive and involved with her children as they moved on to their adult lives and took great pride and joy in the lives of her grandchildren; Claire, Jack, Max, Ryan, Andy, and most recently her great-grandchild Ava.
