Obituary of Travis Andrew Howarth
Travis Andrew Howarth was born on April 5, 1977 in Eugene, Oregon to Terry & Lynn Howarth. He was welcomed home by his heavenly Father on January 24, 2023, at the age of 45; soon after being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma.
Travis grew up in Crow, Oregon with his older sisters Trisha & Becky. He graduated from Crow High School in 1995. His childhood was every boy’s dream growing up on the Howarth Ranch. Surrounded by adventure and always learning something new from his dad.
He married his best friend Sarah Ann on June 30, 2006. The vows “in sickness and in health” were truly lived out as he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis right before their wedding. In 2007 they welcomed their first daughter, Elizabeth Grace, followed by Emily Faith in 2011.
Travis was a loyal employee at Obie Media/Lamar for 16 years as a graphic designer and operations manager.
He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. No matter what he did in life, he always gave it his all. His sense of humor kept everyone laughing, even to the end. He loved his music and playing his guitar.
In 2021 he committed his life to Christ and was baptized in the Catholic Church. He was passionate about sharing his faith. When Travis was diagnosed, he said, “if this suffering brings one person closer to God, then it’s all worth it. Not my will, but Yours Lord.”
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; 2 amazing daughters, Elizabeth & Emily; his parents. Terry & Lynn and his sisters Trisha & Becky.
Memorial services will be held February 24, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eugene, Oregon, during the 12:15 mass. With a reception to follow at Deep Woods in Elmira.
In leu of flowers donations in Travis’ memory may be directed to the Oregon Cancer Foundation or the Pete Moore Hospice House in Eugene, Oregon.
