Roche Allard, 93, beloved and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Roche was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty years, Zelda O’Neil Allard, his brother Hank Allard, and his parents Roch and Jean Duncan Allard.

He is survived by his children Karen Eyre (Jay), Sheila Atwood (Doug), Rochelle Orme (Kip), Velada McElroy (Neil), and John Allard (Kelcie), as well as 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister Diane Rickenbach (John). He was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Los Angeles, California, and later Lakeview, Oregon where he eventually met the love of his life, Zelda O’Neil. During their married life they lived in Eugene, Oregon, Rexburg, Idaho, and Harrisburg, Oregon. They had many wonderful adventures together, the greatest they always said was their family. Roche was always willing to help anyone in need, always putting others first.

Roche honorably served in the army in the Korean War. He was skilled in carpentry and masonry work, and worked as a diesel mechanic after completing the program at Lane Community College. He was always working on projects that his family members were the lucky recipients of. He was kind, grateful, humble, smart, and loved and appreciated nature. He loved camping with his family, kayaking, and riding his recumbent bike all into his nineties. Roche was loved deeply, and he will be missed greatly.
