Obituary of Helen DeBates

Family always came first for Helen. She loved hosting the Holidays. She would always have everything decorated, and quite often a new dish for the family to try. She enjoyed camping and day trips with her sons and grandkids. She had a green thumb when it came to flowers and gardening. She was very involved in her community through the years, holding many positions at the Goldson Grange including Master. She served as a Board member at Blachly Lane Electric Co-Op. She worked as a bookkeeper for the family business until Jan 2022. She is survived by her sons Wayne (Debbie) Borland and Gary (Lisa) Borland; 4 grandchildren-Christopher, Cody, Tabatha-Lynn, and Tayler-Ann; 4 Great grandchildren-William, Sam, Cyrus, and Finnegan; 1 brother-James Koch. A memorial will be held Saturday Nov. 5th at 1:30pm at First Baptist Church of Junction City.
