Obituary of Okja Souder

Okja Souder died  Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her Eugene home.  Okja was born in Korea on March 18, 1939.  She had many brothers and sisters.  She married William Francis Souder of Mapleton, OR on November 9, 1963 at the American Consulate and had a church ceremony at K16 Chapel on November 12th in Seoul, Korea. She came to Eugene, Oregon after her husband's  discharge from  the Airforce in 1964.  She Worked many odd jobs:   housekeeper at Travel Lodge motel, apartment Manager, short time at the lumber  mill,  seamstress, and retired in 1994 from her last job at Chef Francisco.  She was a long time member of Oakway Spa.  She loved shopping at Capella and Market of Choice.  She loved going to Izzy's and Hometown Buffet.  She loved to clean and work around the house, especially her garden.  She loved flowers.  She loved children.  She loved her family and took care of them.  She is survived by her husband,  William, son Stanley, daughter Judy Kim, son-in-law  Frank, grandsons Tyler and Brian Kim.
