Obituary of Teresa L. Moritz

Teresa L. Moritz was born in Peru, Nebraska on Sept 14, 1923, and passed away peacefully in Eugene, Oregon on July 12, 2022.  She is survived by three children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  Teresa studied at Peru State Teachers College where she was a vocalist for the "Solid Macs" dance band.  In 1943, she was working in munitions in Washington D.C. when she met her husband of 58 years, Gene P. Moritz.
They lived and traveled in Europe for several tours of duty with the USAF in Germany as their family grew.  Modern and ahead of her times, she loved adventure and hunted boar, deer, and European elk with her husband there.  Even in her 90s she was an avid reader and traveler, active with her dogs, her church, and the grange.  She loved to paint and with her friends enjoyed art, museums, music, and gardening.  Her commitment to helping others touched many lives.  She will be missed.  Her memorial will be held October 15, 2022 at 1:00, at First Christian Church, 1250 Nyssa St, Junction City, OR 97448.
