Obituary of Katie Booth

Katie (Kathryn) Booth, 38, of Eugene, Oregon died unexpectedly on July 27, 2022. She was born in
Hammond, Louisiana on December 11, 1983, the daughter of Ellen and Ted Booth. After a short time
in Los Osos, California the family moved to Eugene, Oregon where Katie spent the remainder of her
life.

She attended Winston Churchill high school and graduated from the University of Oregon with a
degree in English. At the time of her death she was working for the Lane County Court System, a job
she loved in part because of the many friends she found there.

Katie loved animals of every shape and size and volunteered for different animal welfare
organizations. She worked with many different animals from guinea pigs to reindeer.

She loved the ocean, both the coast of Oregon and the beaches of Nahant, Massachusetts where her
grandparents lived and where she spent time in the summers. She loved Oregon and enjoyed drives
where she would find abandoned buildings and one-room schools which she would photograph.

Katie is survived by her parents, and her brother Matthew and sister-in-law Lorrie. A Celebration of
Life will be held Tuesday, September 13th at 4:00 pm at the Musgrove Family Mortuary, 225 S. Danebo
Ave, Eugene, OR.
