Obituary of Patrick George DeLorme

Patrick George DeLorme passed away on July 23, 2022, in Springfield, Oregon at the age of 83. He was born June 24, 1939 in Ironwood, Michigan to Leo and Elizabeth (Garland) DeLorme. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1957.

He married Bertha Pearl Stoneburner on July 18, 1958.   Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Coos Bay where Patrick worked at Coos Bay Weyerhauser for six years before moving back to Springfield and working at Georgia Pacific for 13 years.  Patrick and Pearl were married for over 60 years and had four children together. 

Prior to losing his eyesight, Patrick was an avid fisherman and hunter and also enjoyed woodworking.  In his later years, he enjoyed listening to sports, especially any sport related to the University of Oregon. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl DeLorme, brothers Dr. Robert DeLorme and Willam (Bill) DeLorme, and infant daughter Carrie.  He is survived by brother Lee and wife Phyllis, his three children Pat, Venece and Cherie, eight grandchildren Melissa, Kyle, Jennifer, Steffany, Chad, Christine, Meagan, and Tabitha, and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Patrick’s services will be on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11am at Springfield Memorial Gardens, which is also where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.
