Obituary of Donna Jean Blanton

Donna Jean Blanton, aged 83, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 23, 2022.  She was born in Maud, Oklahoma to Sylvia Gillham and Everett Goforth, on November 18, 1938.  She was the eldest of 5 siblings and is survived by 3 of 4 sisters and her brother.   The family lived in California where Donna was a Petaluma High School graduate, Class of 1956.  She later married her high school sweetheart, Jack Brattin in 1957.  Together they had 4 children and moved to Oregon in 1969.  Jack and Donna divorced in 1987.  Donna worked for Brattain International Trucks, Inc, of Salem for over 30 years when she retired.  She truly enjoyed her work with the company and revered the Brattain’s as family.    Donna met and married her second husband, Darrell Blanton in 1989.  He preceded her in death in 1997.   Donna’s children, Janet Brattin, Leslie Stinger, Sandra Re’, and Steven Brattin blessed her life with 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.   At Donna’s request, a private family service at a later date will be held and she will be laid to rest at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem, Oregon.  Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.  Please access the obituary and you are invited to sign the guestbook at musgroves.com.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the following ministries:  https://jackhibbs.com and http://olivetreeviews.org
