Obituary of Jay-R Sherman

Born to Vern R. and Alice M. Hawks in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jay-R was adopted and raised by Bert F. and Alice M. Sherman with siblings Reverea and Judy in the Elmira Oregon area.
He attained the Life rank in the Boy Scouts, was Senior Class President and graduated from Elmira High School. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Lane Community College.
He owned and operated Metal Structures Inc. One of his major projects was the structural steel for the Hult Center. He later designed and built homes.
Jay-R loved The Lord and had a very personal relationship with Him. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and dogs.
Jay-R was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Vern Jr. (7 days old), sister Reverea, brother-in-law Roger, and nephew Brad Streeter. He is survived by his sister Judy Brink (Steve); children: Vohn (Jodie), Alisa Russo (Mike), Troy Jade, Shasta (Aaron Wigham), and Athena Bouton (Jason). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Seth, Alex, and River Sherman, Brandi and Chase Wallwork, Tanner Graves, Kiley, Sadie, and Tristan Shay, one great grandson Carter Sherman, and many nieces and nephews. He was loved dearly and will be missed by us all.
