A private remembrance for Dorothy Victoria Lemert will be held on April 23rd at the home of Kerry Lemert.
Victoria was 88. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Boyd and Dorothy Wickizer.
She moved to Oregon with her father and step-mother, Geneva while in high school.
Her family went to work for Nathan and Eleanor Lemert picking beans, where she met their son James Milo Lemert, whom she married in 1951. Milo was the love of her life, her partner and her best friend until he passed away in September of 2012. The couple owned and operated the family farm in the Santa Clara/Junction City area for fifty plus years, with Victoria keeping the books and often pitching in with the manual labor as well. She was active in Oregon Women for Agriculture and Lane County Farm Bureau. Victoria, known to family and friends as “Buddie” and/or “Vickie” had many hobbies which included photography, writing, gardening, jigsaw
puzzles, and crocheting.
She is survived by three children, sons Richard (Linda), Edward (Peggy) and daughter Kerry
and three grandchildren, Shane, Melanie and Ryan. In lieu of sending flowers, please plant some and spread
