Obituary of Robert Franklin Risseeuw

Robert (Bob) Franklin Risseeuw was born January 30th 1936 at home, on a 40 degree below zero day in Todd County, South Dakota day, The 8th of 9 children to William and Winnie (Schryvers) Risseeuw.
It was F D R ‘s birthday so Bob’s dad wanted to name him Franklin Delano so that his initials would be FDR,his Mom said No, but did consent to Franklin as a middle name.
The family moved to Oregon when Bob was 18 months old settling in the Grand Ronde Oregon area. Bob attended school in Willamina Oregon until about 1952.The family moved to North Plains Oregon, Bob attended Hillsboro high school graduating in 1955.
Bob enlisted in the Air Force in November of 1955 and was honorably discharged on February 1961. Upon his discharged he settled in Eugene.
One year later he met the love of his life Marilyn Hawley. They were married on November 21, 1962.
Bob and Marilyn have two sons Robert (Sam) and Wayne. Bob became a Commercial glazier working for Willamette Glass and later Mid Valley Glass. Bob was actively in the Eugene kids’ sports program, coaching his son’s baseball teams and assisting in football and basketball. Bob was an avid Oregon Ducks fan, he also loved to fish and hunt deer and elk, and camping was a must.
Bob and Marilyn moved to LaPine Oregon, in 1994.They traveled in their RV to all 49 Continental states. They moved back to Eugene in 2014.
Bob is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons Sam Risseeuw of Pleasant Hill,
Wayne (Lisa) Risseeuw of Elgin, He was Grandad, to Aspen (Tyler) Smith, Blu Risseeuw, Cherrisa Hope, Seth Risseeuw, Christian Risseeuw,
Great Grandad to Sawyer and Adalida Smith, and Travis and Taylor Gielish, 24 Nieces and Nephews, he was preceded in death by parents Williams and Winnie all eight siblings, Marie, Sanford, Jane, Vivian, Isaac, Billy, Vernon, and Lonnie and Granddaughter Cherrisa Hope.
