Bonnie Aarnes, 80, passed away on January 8th, 2022. She is survived by children Tracy Locke, Timothy Aarnes, and Toby Aarnes, as well as eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson Lucas Lee “Luke” Esgate. Bonnie was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted Christian, and a friend to all who knew her, always there when you needed a shoulder to cry on or a freshly baked cookie. Born in the tiny town of Monroe, Oregon, and raised the fifth of eight children, Bonnie’s life wasn’t always easy, but she found ways to bring light, laughter, and joy into her world, just like she did for everyone around her. Much as she was loved and cherished each day of her life, she will be dearly missed each day after.

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
