Stephen Edward Dyson a Vietnam Veteran passed away March 8, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born in Eugene, OR on September 3, 1951 to Tommy Dyson and Erma Gene Dyson / Warfel.
Stephen “Steve” was raised in Eugene OR and spent most of his life in Eugene except for the time he served our country overseas. Stephen served in the US Army as a Specialist Sargent Mechanic. After serving our country, on January 2, 1971 he was honorably discharged.
He is survived by his eight siblings: Linda Dyson, Thomas Dyson, Vickie Grantom, Tressa Condos, Rita Henager, Mackie Warfel, Rossetta LeBonte, and Norma Warfel. Daughter: Elysa; Son: Stephen Jr. Grandchildren: Emma Foust, Trinity Christian, Taliyah Zlotek; as well as, many nephews and nieces. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. Wife: Susie Dyson; Daughter: Corrine Dyson.
Stephen loved America. He loved to live life to the fullest: hard working; life of the party, love music, dancing, karaoke. He also loved to go camping. He enjoyed classic cars; he also enjoyed driving like he was on a racetrack (heavy on the throttle ?). For a pastime he liked working with his hands as a master crafsmen of all trades.
Stephen’s memorial service and viewing will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, 225 S. Danebo Ave. Eugene, OR. The viewing will be held inside the memorial building at 10:00 am to 12 noon. The memorial services will be graveside services at 2:00pm. Both the viewing and services will be Tuesday March 22, 2022.
