Obituary of Shirley Jean Anglin

Shirley Jean Anderson-Anglin, a longtime resident of Eugene, OR was welcomed to her eternal home on Friday, January 28th, 2022.  Shirley was born on July 22, 1949 in Floydada, Texas. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Monterey High School. She continued her education at Hardin Simmons University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree.

She was an active member of First United Methodist of Eugene where she enjoyed being a member of the choir and playing handbells. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and she loved to travel and treasured trips with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Jean (Waller) and James O. Anderson.  She is survived by her sister Nancy Purdy and husband Gerald, three nieces: Angela and husband Mark Wood, Caryn and husband Stacey Smith, Kacey and husband Josh Warren of Waco. Texas. She is also survived by ten great nieces and nephews. She was also blessed by many close friends in Eugene.
