Dayne passed away January 2^nd, 2022 at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend at the age of 65. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Baker, His father Jesse “Lee” Smoot, his sister Deborah Safely and his wife Debbie Smoot. He is survived by his 2 daughters Rachael Watkins, married to David Watkins, Mercedes Smoot and granddaughter Lillyonna Riggs. He also had 5 step children, Jennifer, Charlie, Katia, Skyla and Givante as well as 9 grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life on January 29^th, 2022 at 1 PM at the Coburg Community Grange located at 32663 E Mill St. Coburg, Oregon.

Following in his fathers’ footsteps, Dayne became an auctioneer in 2000 and opened Smoot Auction Service in Eugene. Several years later he became a finish carpenter and started With Pride Construction LLC. The name was perfect because everything Dayne did, was with pride. His attention to detail was extraordinary always reminding his kids that anything worth doing was worth doing well.

Dayne had many hobbies including fishing, bow hunting and riding his motorcycle. Dayne’s devotion for these things was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. Dayne was loved and respected by many and will be missed dearly.
