Julianna Beck Bays
1942-2021
Julianna Beck Bays passed away on December 24, 2021 in Springfield Oregon at the
age of 79. She was born on March 23, 1942 in Fresno California to Julius and Anna
Rasmussen. She graduated from Central Union High School and attended Fresno College.
Later she attended Lane Community College and studied Real Estate. She
married Wiilliam Dwayne Bays on February 16 1961.
Julianna had many interests and was always learning new things and most of
her life employment was serving others. She spent time as a Teacher, Realtor, Secretary,
Activities Director for local seniors, to name a few. She also had her own daycare
where she loved and cared for many children who thrived under her care.
She was active in her church in Springfield over the years involved in many
ministries including helping the homeless with basic needs in which she was honored and
noticed by her local community. Julianna had a strong faith in God and never hesitated to share
his love for others. Her light shone bright to all that knew her.
Other achievements to be noted President of the Fresno Women’s Club, Secretary for
the First English Lutheran, Librarian for Trinity Baptist, and finally last but not least the one who
brought her so much joy is Leader of the Cultured Pearls, which is in reference to her lifelong
friends whom she loved dearly.
Julianna is survived by her husband of 61 years William D. Bays, Her sister Linda
Mclaughlin, Brother’s Julius and Ronald Rasmussen. Her daughter’s Victoria Monfore, Laurie
Wakeman, and Mary Dewald, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Our family has decided to host a “Celebration of Life Gathering” in late March details to
