On December 31st 2021, Amy M. Moser passed away peacefully, hours shy of her 91st birthday. The family will receive friends at the Lane Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 5300 West 11th, Eugene, Thursday, January 6 from 11-2, internment will immediately follow.
Oregon native and lifelong resident, Amy was born in Hillsboro. She graduated from Hillsboro Union High School in 1951 and earned an associate’s degree in business sciences from Lane Community College.
Amy met the love of her life, Orrin K. Moser, by chance at a community dance. They were married October 14, 1955, settled in Junction City, and resided there for 59 years.
Amy is preceded in death by her husband Orrin, parents Oliver and Bernice Westcott and brother Arthur. She is survived by her daughter Melany Vaughan (David), son Jeffrey (Sherry) and 5 granddaughters: Gina Hursky/Moser, Lillian Moses (Jonathan), Amelia Vaughan (Daniel Petroni), Kristin Savage (Aaron) and Cassandra Moser.
Amy was a crafter and baker. She passed her sewing skills and creativity in the kitchen on to her grandchildren. She was active with the Oregon Trail Lacemakers, International Cake Exploration Societé and Girl Scouting. She also loved monster movies. Her appreciation for all facets of nature inspired her to keep pets like tropical fish, raise hedgehogs and stay close to a window for birdwatching.
