Obituary of Barbara H. Hamilton

Barbara H. (Griffith) Hamilton of Eugene passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on 15 April 2021. She was born 15 January 1929 in Homedale, Idaho to the late Ira W. and Ruby (Stevens) Griffith. Sister to: the late Nola (Mel) Borrowman, the late Verla (Glenn) Rose, Dean (Donna) Griffith, and Hal (Judy) Griffith; Mother of: Shari (Kenneth) Bay, Perry (Darlene) Hamilton, Gary Hamilton, Terry (Shannon) Hamilton; Grandmother of: Luke Bay, Amber (Conrad) Johnson, April (Dave) Roderick, Keni Lynn (Tyler) Forrest, Benjamin (Julia) Bay, Kawika (Ali) Vaughn, Echo (Matt) Groff, Nichole Hamilton, Haley DeVore, Garrett Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Connor Hamilton, Brandon Quick, great-grandmother of twenty-one great-grandchildren, and aunt to several nieces and nephews.

 

Barbara was a member of the church Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints her entire life. She lived in the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon area for fifty-six years. She served as a member of the Welcome Wagon for several years in Springfield and was a member of the Eugene Two Wheelers Motorcycle Club. She loved salmon fishing with her sons and extended family in Alaska. Always an adventuress, she traveled to China, Central America, and Europe, and coast-to-coast across America. Her sense of humor, quick wit and infectious laugh lifted everyone around her. Most of all, she loved her family and God. Arrangements entrusted to Springfield Memorial Funeral Home.
