I met Jim in Oregon but we both knew Lanikai, on the island of O’ahu. He was a delight to talk to, upbeat and bright. My condolences to his family and friends. Dale Johnson

This picture of Jim on the Musgrove page is exactly how Jim looked every time you saw him: happy, friendly and glad to see you. He made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated.
He was an awesome neighbor, always willing to help, looking out for you and sharing whatever he had. It was a real pleasure living next door to the Wilson's and watching their family grow up. Jim's legacy is well represented in his wonderful children.
Jim's passing came way too soon, but his love of life and his gift of friendship will last forever.

Jim, as we knew him, was through the lens of his education and special education work. I and other special education attorneys at the law firm GHR worked with him as a mediator for years. As a mediator, his background in magic applied--he truly had a gift to bring people together in resolving issues and often was able to pull a rabbit out of his hat to resolve issues and reach agreement. The twinkle in his eyes, the consummate professionalism he exhibited, his ability to pull people together, made him everyone's top selection for his work in school law mediations.
Salam also worked with Jim in mediating and resolving contentious issues at the state level with charter schools and school districts. We sympathize with your family on the loss of his bright presence and talents.
Sincerely,
Kelly and Salam Noor
