Glen Eldon Reidhead of Eugene, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the age of 87. After several months of declining health, Glen died peacefully in his home with family members by his side. Glen was born in Snowflake, Arizona on December 10, 1932, to father John Henry Reidhead and Mother Annie Despain Reidhead. The middle son of two older brothers, one younger sister and one younger brother. Glen didn’t have the opportunity for much formal education. He attended and graduated from Snowflake High School, helped out on the family’s small ranch, worked at a Dude Ranch and at local sawmills at an early age. Though these endeavors, he met a beautiful young lady, Nova Jean Small from Overgaard, Arizona. They were united as husband and wife on June 23, 1952.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; sister Phillis Torbet; his wife; Nova Jean; daughters; Jacqueline Evon Hansen and Candace Ann Willyard.
He is survived by brothers; Robert ‘Bob’ Reidhead ,Lloyd ‘Bill’ Reidhead and Gail Reidhead; son Melvin Glen Reidhead; daughter, Deena Fae Tavera. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Glen is planned for Friday, September 11, West Lawn Memorial Park, located at 225 S. Danebo Avenue, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. All are invited to attend. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm.
Glen was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will forever be in our hearts. May He forever be at peace and may we all find some way to live up to his beautiful memory.
