Obituary of Grace Sumner

Grace Sumner Grace Sumner was born on February 10, 1924 in Glendale, California to Martin and Charlotte Farmer. She attended Hoover High School in Glendale. She was married to Vernon J. Sumner on February 4, 1942 and moved to Oregon in 1945. She lived in Coos Bay, Sumner, Amity, and Portland before moving to Eugene in 1959. She worked briefly in the jewelry business, but she was a homemaker most of her life and was devoted to her family. She has four children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed singing in the choir. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Sumner, and her daughters, Karen Marciel, Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Judith Long, Sutherlin, Oregon, Rebecca Goetze, Eugene, Oregon, and her son, Stephen Sumner, Springfield, Oregon. Interment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
