Obituary of Leah Strom

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Eugene for Leah Marcella Strom of Eugene, who died Dec. 12 of congestive heart failure. She was 87.She was born May 2, 1922, in Albion, Neb., to William and Clara Storrs Carnahan. She married Julius Clifton Strom Sept. 3, 1938, in Vancouver, Wash.She was superintendant of Sunday school education at First Methodist Church. She worked at Johnny’s Toy Store and My Little Salesman Printing, and for 19 years at Agripac, where she retired in 1985 as production supervisor.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Suzanne Lyon of Eugene; a son, Dan Strom of Newport; a brother, Charles Carnahan of Eugene; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sons, Clayton in 1987 and Dennis in 2006, died previously.Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
