Obituary of Timothy Moriarty

Timothy Moriarty of Eugene died Dec. 11 of age-related causes at the age of 88. No service is planned.He was born April 14, 1921, in Portland to John and Opal Davenport Moriarty. He married Beatrice Gillis in 1956 in Eugene.During World War II he served in the U.S. Army’s 81st Artillery in Europe and Alaska. He later worked for and retired from US Bank.Survivors include his wife; a son, David Vance Moriarty of Eugene; a daughter, Theresa Stonefield of Eugene; a step-daughter, Christine Heath of La Center, Wash.; a sister, Kathleen Knights of Eugene; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.A private family burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
