Evelyn Joyce O'Boyle, 95, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022 in Eugene, Oregon. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 11:30 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1062 Charnelton, Eugene.
Evelyn was born September 9, 1927 in Eureka, Montana to Orrin Frost and Elsie McCoy Frost. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in Eureka, Montana in 1945 and went to Spokane, Washington to work at the Air Force Base. She married Walter Alexander O'Boyle in Kalispell, Montana on April 26, 1947. Walt passed away one day before their 49th anniversary on April 25, 1996.
Survivors include her children, Kathy, Mike (Sherry), Shannon and John (Caroline) as well as grandchildren Sandi, James (Amberly), Tara (Greg), Connor and Duncan and great-grandchildren Alexis, Kenny, Sawyer, Tessa and Fielding. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Handford of Kalispell, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Susan Marie O'Boyle.
In 1967 the O'Boyles moved from Kalispell, Montana to Klamath Falls, Oregon. Throughout her life Evelyn cherished her faith and family and also had a passion for gardening and crafts. She was active in hospital auxiliaries, garden clubs and all the sports, activities and interests her children pursued. Evelyn frequently returned to Montana in support of family. For the last 10 years she was a resident of Valley West Health Care Center where she loved to participate in all of the social activities, especially Bingo.
